At Superior, we understand that managing our carbon footprint is not just about knowing how many emissions we generate. It means understanding where they come from, identifying opportunities for improvement, and turning that information into concrete decisions that allow us to move toward an increasingly efficient and responsible operation. This vision is part of our Superior DNA<\/strong>, which guides the actions of our Industry, Consumer Goods, and Sustainability divisions. <\/p>\n\n This is why measuring our carbon footprint has become a fundamental tool for guiding our actions and evaluating our performance year after year. Our first measurement was carried out in 2021, and since then we have continued this exercise consistently, making 2025 our fourth year of measurement. <\/p>\n\n 2024 marked an important benchmark for Superior<\/sup>. Based on this exercise, we established our baseline, with a footprint of approximately 105,014 tonnes of CO\u2082 equivalent (tCO\u2082e)<\/sup>. This measurement allowed us to understand more clearly where our emissions come from and define where we needed to focus our efforts<\/sup>. We also identified that most of our footprint falls under Scope 3, meaning activities related to our value chain<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n This means that reducing our footprint requires working closely with suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders that are part of our operation<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n In 2025, our footprint reached approximately 121,226 tCO\u2082e, representing a 15.4% increase compared to 2024<\/sup>. This result must be viewed in the context of our operation’s growth, since a company that increases its production and activity naturally faces greater demand for energy, transportation, and raw materials<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n In this context, the actions we are developing are part of a strategy that seeks to decouple, as much as possible, the company’s growth from the growth of its emissions<\/sup>. Our goal is not to produce more, but to produce better in order to feed a better future<\/strong><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n Since 2024, we have been strengthening the management of our consumption data through automation and integration with Power BI, which later led to the development of a management and data-entry application designed to make it easier to collect information from every point of generation<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n This technological evolution allows our Superior People<\/strong> to strengthen operational efficiency through benefits such as:<\/p>\n\n One of our main challenges lies outside our facilities: Scope 3 accounts for around 92% of our footprint<\/sup>. For this reason, since 2026 we have been driving Chain with Purpose<\/em>, an initiative aimed at working alongside our suppliers to identify impacts, promote emissions measurement, and develop joint reduction actions<\/sup>. Sustainability requires strategic partners; that’s why, when each supplier contributes their grain of flour<\/strong>, we build an increasingly conscious, prepared, and committed value chain<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n In Scope 2, one of our main areas of focus is moving toward a more self-generating and renewable energy matrix<\/sup>.
